Wood Vesselsby Ronald Leach (aka TUFF Papa)
Ron, the TUFF Papa, is an artist and wood turner. With a craftsman's eye he patiently transforms tree logs into beautiful wood bowls, vases, canisters, goblets and other vessels.
All of his work is hand-crafted in his workshop on an acreage in Branson West, MO located deep in the Ozark Mountains. He is especially fond of rustic pieces with knots, burls, worm holes and other organic occurrences. When questioned on why he says, "There is beauty in imperfection. There's a Japanese saying called Wabi Sabi that perhaps explains it best. Wabi Sabi means a way of living that focuses on finding beauty within the imperfections of life and accepting peacefully the natural cycle of growth and decay."
