If you don’t know about Morels, they are a delicious buttery tasting wild mushrooms that are considered a delicacy by foodies. They can only be found in loamy soil in old growth wood forests for a mere 2-4 weeks in the early spring. They are elusive and difficult to find. Plus, trying to grow them on your own is almost impossible.
The TUFF Momma and family have spent hours in the Ozark forests hunting for beautiful morels. We carefully clean and freeze dried them. (I admit we cooked a few in butter and garlic for a lovely spring treat.)
In our commercial kitchen, we carefully crush the dried morels and combined them with one of the finest sea salts we could find... Red Diamond Sea Salt. This salt contains over 50 different natural minerals!
Then came the taste test.
The morel salt re-hydrates when you mix it with liquid. Then the morel bits swell to four times in size. Amazing! This is like sea salt sorcery. Instant morel morsels!
What should you use it on? It is wonderful on a steak, pasta, eggs, soups and even popcorn!
