This red salt hails from the islands of Hawaii. The red color is from the red clay (Alaea) that is traditionally mixed with pure Pacific sea salt. It has the highest iron content of any of our TUFF Momma® salts and is full of trace minerals that our bodies need.
This is a pure salt, nothing is added. It is a fine-grain salt that has grains approximately the same size as typical table salt. If you need a larger quantity and like the freshness of grinder-grain salt, we also sell this salt in a 16 oz grinder here.
This salt is ideal for everyday cooking and finishing.
